Hume City Council are partnering with Brite Institute (RTO3834) to offer industry leading training to Hume residents who are interested in supporting the elderly in the community providing exceptional care and service to their clients.
This training is aimed at people who have suitable values and attributes, but may not have had any work experience, in home and community care. It is suitable for people seeking a new and meaningful career in home care or aged care. During the course our employment partners may offer employment and placement opportunities for students.
Certificate III in Individual Support Train to Gain Pathway Program
This program will provide you with foundational skills and knowledge to work in the residential and home care sectors, including safe work practices and COVID – 19 infection?control/prevention procedures.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Caring and compassionate nature
- Able to commit to the full program
- Have the ability to relate to a diversity of people.
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Have a mature and professional attitude.
- Willing to commit and undertake 120-hour work-placement
